Romantic Floral Heart

Hello Dear Subscribers,

This floral design is very romantic and so easy to create

A heart shaped vine heart has been used as a base.

Roses and leaves have been arranged in a heart shape in florist foam which is placed in the centre of the heart.

The colour of these roses are a lovely rich apricot colour which compliments the dark twiggy stems of the vine heart.

This design would also look lovely made in silk flowers.

If desired, the completed floral design can be attached in an upright position to a wrought iron stand, on a wall or a column.

The materials used in this design are:
Roses
Foliage of choice
Vine Heart
Number 6 medium florist plastic bowl and clip on guard
Florist foam

Method
l.  Soak the florist foam in water for several minutes. Place the soaked foam in the number 6 florist bowl and secure it in position with the plastic clip on guard. Then place it in the centre of the heart. If the finished design is to be positioned upright, the bowl can be secured to the vine base with a hot glue gun. Place a few dabs of hot glue around the edges of the bowl and insert it into the heart. For extra support, the edges around the plastic clip on guard can be secured to the vine heart with a few twists of fine 26 gauge wire.
2.  Cut the roses to the desired length and insert the medium sized ones in a heart shape around the edges of the foam.
3.  Cut the foliage to the desired length and insert it in a heart shape in the centre of the foam.
4.  Cut the stems of two large roses to the desired length and insert them in the centre of the foam
5.  Spray lightly with water.

This floral design is briefly explained. In our Floristry Diploma Course, we explain each lesson in detail. There are step by step diagrams for each step, measurements on how long to cut each stem, exactly where to position each one and a colour photo of each finished design.

Here is a couple of recent testimonials from some of our students
