 Two Minute Floral Design
Hello Dear Subscriber,
Sometimes you may not have much time, and you want to make an arrangement that is very quick to create, or you may have just a few choice flowers that you want to arrange in an attractive way.
Either way, this design will be just perfect.
This arrangement would be suitable for a low coffee table, where it will be seen to it's best advantage.
The flower stems are cut short, and the flowers are placed in a glass container which is divided into sections.
The flowers used in this arrangement are in contrasting shades of cream, deep apricot, pale yellow and blue.
You could also use all the same colour flowers or different shades of the same colour such as pale pink, medium pink and deep pink.
A cluster of green berries, short pieces of foliage and two leaves add extra interest.
A sign, with congratulations on it, is inserted in this arrangement. It would be suitable as a gift to celebrate a special occasion.
A larger flat glass dish can be used, and you could use all the same type of flowers such as rose heads, gardenias or camellias and floating candles.
- Pour some water in the container.
- Cut the stems off each flower head so only 2.5cm (1") remains.
- Place the flower heads in the container. If desired, clusters of small flowers or foliage can be placed in the container first.
- Add any finishing touches, such as the two leaves and the sign.
- Spray flowers lightly with water.
This arrangement is briefly explained. In our Floristry Diploma Course, we explain each step in detail with diagrams for each step, measurements on how long to cut each stem and exactly where to position each one.
