Large Flower Arrangement In A Classical Urn

Hello Dear Subscribers,

Lots of things are happening here, I have been busy creating many new floral designs.

The main thing I like about floristry is once you learn the basic rules of flower arranging is you can go on to make so many different styles of flower arrangements.

This large floral design features green molucca balm, pink tulips, David Austin roses in varying shades of pink and liliums arranged in an urn.

This arrangement is suitable for a church or reception area, as the size of this design ensures it can be seen from a distance.

Method

Fill the container almost to the top with crumpled newspaper.

Soak several full size bricks of floral foam with water, place in a large flat container and place it on top of the urn.

Secure the foam in position by placing a piece of crumpled chicken wire netting over the top and tucking the ends down the side of the container.

Place the tall green molucca balm in the top of the foam.

Place foliage around the bottom having it curving downwards to extend over the top of the container.

Position the tulips in the top of the foam spreading them out.

Place the roses in the design, clustering them in together in groups, pale pink and deeper pinks together.

Insert the liliums in the design.

Spray with water.
