Flower Design Featuring Candles

Hello Dear Subscribers,

This arrangement features flowers that are arranged in a flat glass container.

Small tea light candles in glass containers are placed around the arrangement to give a soft romantic glow.

The flowers used in this design are green molucca balm, golden brown ginger, deep pink roses and mauve freesias. Spear grass is used to give extra height to the design.

You can use other flowers of choice. For the best results, use a variety of shapes and textures.

To give more height and importance to the arrangement, a box was placed on the table and covered with silk fabric. The finished arrangement was then placed on top of the silk fabric.

The materials used in this design are

Ginger
Molucca Balm
Roses
Freesias
Spear Grass
Short pieces of foliage of choice
Large flat glass container
Florist foam

1. Soak the florist foam in water for several minutes and place on the flat glass container.

2. Cut the ginger to the desired height, having the one on the left taller and place in the florist foam as shown in the photo.

3. Cut the rose stems to the desired length and position them around the base of the arrangement.

4. Cut the molucca balm to the desired length and position them in the arrangement as shown.

5. Cut the freesias to the desired length and insert them low down on the right and left side of the arrangement.

6. Cut the spear grass to the desired length and insert it on the right side of the arrangement. Tuck short pieces of foliage around the base of the arrangement.

7. Spray lightly with water.

This arrangement is briefly explained. In our Floristry Diploma Course, we explain each step in detail with diagrams for each step and measurements on how long to cut each stem and exactly where to position each placement.
