Thanksgiving floral arrangementThanksgiving Floral Arrangement

Hello Dear Subscribers,

Thanksgiving is a special time of the year to give thanks for all we do have.

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated mainly in the United States and Canada at the end of November each year.

This is a day families are brought together.

They traditionally share a family meal of turkey, vegetable and all the trimmings.

Oranges and yellow flowers are the colours of fall (Autumn) and are often used in Thanksgiving flower arrangements.

This arrangement would be ideal for a table centre piece.

A glass container has been used as a base and orange gerberas, roses, alstroemeria, berries and various types of foliage  have been used to create a low centrepiece which would be perfect for the dinner table.

Method

Fill the container three quarters of the way with water.

Cut the foliage stems to the desired length and remove any of the lower foliage that would come under the water line.

Insert the foliage in the container crisscrossing the stems so the tips extend downwards over the edges of the container.

Fill in with foliage having it a rounded shape in the centre.

Cut the flowers and berries to the desired length and remove the lower foliage and position the largest flowers, gerberas and roses in the container crisscrossing the stems and leaving a space between each flower head.

Fill in between the other flowers with the alstroemeria and the berries crisscrossing the stems in the same way.

Spray lightly with water.

This floral design is briefly explained. In our Floristry Diploma Course, we explain each lesson in detail. There are step by step instructions with diagrams, measurements on how long to cut each stem, exactly where to position each one and a colour photo for each completed design.
