A Posy Of Flowers makes a lovely gift to show you care

A posy of flowers makes a lovely gift to show you care.

This posy features 3 large hydrangea, mini roses, lisianthus, alstroemeria and larkspur.

The posy is made by holding it in one hand and the flowers placed around crisscrossing them at the same place with the other hand.

The flower and foliage stems have been cut to the desired length and the foliage stripped from the bottom third of the stems.

The flowers have been placed in separate groups along the table.

Holding a hydrangea in one hand between the thumb and first finger position about 20cm down from the base of the flower head and using the other hand the flowers have been evenly placed around turning the posy around in a clockwise position after adding several stems.

The entire posy is made holding it in this position having the flowers out slightly further to the sides in each round until the posy is the desired size.

The posy should be checked that it is evenly balanced by holding it out with the centre front facing you. Looking at it side on the top of the posy should be slightly rounded across the top.

The stems have been secured together at the thumb and first finger position with a few twists of string and the ends tied in a knot and then cut short.

The end of the stems have been cut level.

Ribbon has been placed on top of the string and tied in a shoelace bow and the ends cut on a slant.

This gift posy of flowers has been briefly described.
