Exotic Floral Centrepiece

Hello Dear Subscribers,

This modern floral design features exotic flowers arranged in a low container.

It would make an ideal design for a table centrepiece, for a dinner party or placed on a low table.

A large green anthurium, orange banksia, yellow orchids and green leaves are arranged in florist foam in a low container.

Spear grass is inserted around the edges and formed into loops to give an interesting finishing touch.

The materials used in this design are:
One large anthurium
One orange banksia
Laurel leaves
Spear grass
Low flat container
Florist foam
Plastic guard or pot tape

Method
l. Soak the foam in water for several minutes and place it in the container. Secure the foam in place with a plastic guard or pot tape, crisscrossing it over the top of the foam and down the sides of the container.

2. Cut the leaves to the desired length and insert them around the edges, so they extend down over the edges of the container.

3. Cut the flowers to the desired length and insert them into the foam.

4. Cut the spear grass to the desired length and insert it around the edges. Bend the spear grass into loops and insert them throughout the design as shown in the photo.

5. Spray lightly with water.
